We all know Daytona is just around the corner, Greg (culater) and I have talked about doing a racing pool similar to one that he has played on another site. What I need from you guys is an answer: will you participate or not for a full season of racing.
This pool will take a tremendous amount of work and I will not waste my time for only a few guys to participate for a few weeks. You either commit or don't enter. I am thinking of coming up with a "Mulligan" rule that would allow you to miss a race or two and not get hurt too bad in points. I'm still thinking it through.
Here is a brief run down of how it will work:

For our new players, the TruckModCentral Cup is somewhat of a fantasy league for the NASCAR Sprint Cup series, only without all the work of an actual fantasy league. It takes literally 30 seconds per week to play, and makes following the race a bit more interesting, if you've got something at stake. It doesn't cost anything to play, and there are no payouts. At the end of the season, the winner receives the TruckModCentral Cup:
The Cup will be designed later:

Each week after Sprint Cup qualifying, I post the starting lineup, divided into five groups. This usually occurs on a Friday afternoon, which is the earliest I can get to it. After that, you post up your picks, which consist of one (1) driver from each of the five (5) groups. The combined driver points, as noted at NASCAR.com, determine your score for the week. The player with the top score for the week earns 50 bonus points (in the event of a tie, which happens, both players get the 50 points).
First Out
More accurately described as the last place finisher, in addition to picking your five choices, you also pick the driver you think will be the first out of the race, whether by accident, mechanical failure, or complete lack of driving skill. This started because my dad and I enjoy it when people fail. If you correctly pick this loser, you get an extra 50 points on top of your weekly score. A note, the driver actually has to start the race.
Picking is absolutely locked at the drop of the green flag. NASCAR.com posts the official time, and the time stamp on your post will be the indicator.
The basic format works for Sprint Cup points races only, but we may make picks for other races. Examples are the Twin 125s, All Star race, Indy 500, and Nationwide races on cup off-weekends.
