Just got done with my first oil change in 1 year since switching to AMSOIL - 10,060 miles
.
I switched over last November, but didn't want to do it in the cold again, plus I wanted to send a sample off to Blackstone Labs to see if the TBN (total base number) has more additive left so I can extend my oil change interval even more.
Besides changing oil, did a full service - tire rotation, brake pad inspection, serpentine wear inspection, checked & filled all fluids, etc, etc.
Also greased my 11 zerks. Gotta tell ya, #6 (passenger side idler arm at relay rod) is a PITA!!! It's nearly impossible to get your grease gun in there to get a good seal on the zerk. I was eventually able to fill the boot by turning the wheel all the way to the right (at first I thought there was no way to do it, but then I turned the wheel and had to wiggle my skinned-up knuckles up there).
Sent the sample off to Blackstone and will post the results when they're done.
