So I got a new project truck. It's a 1991 3/4 ton GMC Suburban 4x4. It has a 350 engine, both the engine and transmission have around 40k on the rebuild. The whole front suspension has been redone also. Has some rust around the fenders and rockers but the floor is soild in side. The driver side fender is banged up and the grill is missing. The front bumper is homemade and not in the best way. I will make my own custom one. Interior isn't to bad for a truck that is 20 years old. Nothing that can't be fixed or replaced. Haven't really thought of a mods list yet but have a few ideas of what I want to do....

1. Fix up the body
2. Custom make a front bumper
3. Fix up the interior
4. A lift (not sure how much yet)
5. And whatever else I can think of later on or whatever other problems/issues I find.

And now on to the pics cuz I KNOW everyone likes pics...

This one is for :tmc:...

Once I get back home I will take some more pics to post. Also once I start working on it I will make a build thread.

Also if anyone know of a place on line to get parts and what not let me know.

Cool, Lee! I had a Blazer with sheet metal that bad, it ended up being a beauty when I was all done. Cool project, man!

Looks like a fun project!

I still think you should have gone with a RCSB GMT800 like you mentioned a while back. :(

This will be my fun truck when I am done. In the end I want a C/C D-max for my DD. But that more then likely come after the house. :( Any my bike will still be for drag racing.

Nice dude! I love the rear door on that thing! Not a huge fan of the other style.

A 3/4 ton 4x4 is a beast. Wish mine was 4x4 :( lol.

I'm assuming fuel injected?

I have an 87-88 white burban 2wd in the backyard just like that one....Its my brothers I'm rebuilding the engine for him. I;ll have to post a pic tomorrow.

Yeah it is F/I. I like the rear gate also. The window still works and rolls down. Do you know of a place where I can get some sheet metal for it or a grill?

OH and I only paid a $1000 for it!

Yeah I will also be checking my local salvage yards to. I know getting stuff new will cost way more. It always does. :dunno:

Werd. Thats the way it is though. Thinking of classicparts.com reminded me I need to buy a few things for my 85...just went and spent $100 bucks on 2 marker lens assemblies and 2 wiper arms (they come with the hoses attached-thats all I really needed lol)

They have an OEM original grille for my 85 in there that I want, its only like $65, with 27 dollar shipping though. I need the grille, a new front bumper, and some of the chrome trim that goes around the grille.

But I have other shit going on so....lol
