In the past I tired myself from running out of battery juice on my devices such as cameras and camcorders. So I purchased a 3000 watt inverter which I installed under the rear right passenger's seat and problem solved. Not so quick; I found out that every time I had the need to plug in a device I had to stop the vehicle, stepped out, went around to the rear passenger's side and lifted the seat to find the switch and turn on the inverter then finally plugged in my device. Too much work I told myself and thought of a better way to turn on and off my inverter and plug in my devices from the driver's seat.
So, I ran a 10 gage red wire from the battery to a 30Amp fuse then to a kill switch in the middle of the front console. Then from the switch to a relay switch close to the inverter, then to the positives side of the inverter then ran the black (negative) back straight to the battery. Next, I plugged in a 12 gage extension cord to the inverter and ran it to 2 receptacles which I installed in the middle of the front console.
Not a professional in diagrams as you can see but at least I try.
