2006 silverado transmission / transfer case issue

While driving my truck will act like I shift it in neutral. I can pull over put into 4 wheel high then push selector to back to 2 wheel and everything works. Seems to do this when I get off the gas. There are no fault codes or severe 4x4 lights coming on. Any ideas?

TCCM or encoder motor... If you have a 3 button t-case you can convert to a manual shift.... But it's pretty ghetto redneck.
