Blazer Ignition Problems

Caused myself some problems, ended up not being able to start the truck.

Fast fwd 3 days, got everything wired back up, new ignition module, wired in the battery, ignition, accessories, and signal wire from starter. Turn key to acc and I'm semi good. Used a test light and have power to everything but signal. Normal right? As it won't get signal until I actually turn the key to start.

But when I do that, I get nothing. No crank, nothing at all.

But when I hook up a remote start to the starter ( + & signal post) the damn truck starts right up.

What am I missing? Bad signal wire? Solenoid should be fine right, due to the remote start switch working?

Help!

Solenoid is fine if it works with the remote starter...
Have you checked the STARTER RELAY ??
Have you checked the STARTER FUSE??

Tracing all the wires, and checking the wiring diagrams, there is no starter relay? And the very small amount of fuses that are in place all checked out OK.

There were some fuses on the, what I'm guess is the accessories power bolts. The attached wires ran to nowhere and plugged into nothing.

I'm going to double check the fuse box and see if there's a relay marked for the starter. I know it has to be something very simple. I did ground the ignition module while removing it. There was some smoke, but this wouldn't burn out the entire signal wire right?

Update: with previous set up applied, (ignition switch all wired normally) I accidentally jumped the ignition wire (runs out of msd ignition box straight to ignition) to the signal wire ((solenoid to ignition) and it started.

I bolted both wires together on the signal post, no dice. Reversed where they connect, and cranks @ the on position.

Should I run both to the ignition?

I think you need to find a schematic for the MSD.

Tried both SIGNAL & IGNITION to the ignition, it cranked up, semi started but starter gear wouldn't disengage.

I've read msd instructions online off their website. Simply says, run wires "ab" to the distributor, "cd" to coil, and small red wire to a 12 volt switch. I have small red wire on the ignition. Am I missing something?
