Putco GMT900 Fog Lamp Upgrade - 2007 Sierra / Silverado

Got my Putco foglamp bulbs in today. They arrived as advertised. I went with yellow tint for maximum visibility on those foggy Winter nights we have here. There are times that you cannot see more than 50 feet, so I wanted something better than the OEM lamps.

Not really anything to write up as far as how to install... they just plug in the place of the stockers. It's a direct fit. So easy a Caveman could do it.

Here are the bulbs as they arrived.

Here they are just after dark without headlamps on.

Here is the light output. I'd say it is about 50% brighter than the stockers but with a yellow tint.

Here is a view from the front. Camera does not pick up the yellow tint here but it is pretty noticeable in person.

Overall I recommend this easy and cheap upgrade.

I had the ones with the blueish tint but one of them burned out in less than a week. I liked the looks of 'em but the quality was terrible at least with the set I got.

I have the "Ion Spark White" ones and they have been in for about 1-1/2 years with no issues yet.

Looks good. It's kind of hard to tell they're yellow though in the pics.

Well, with yellow tinted bulbs the light is only tinted a little. You can really tell they are yellow when the headlamps and fogs are on against the door.

Jim, make sure to give us an update after using them in the fog. Would be interested to know how the yellows compare in actual fog. I am guessing they will be significantly better than white since true fog lights are yellow.

That sounds like you just got a dud bulb. I would have made them replace it.
