View Full Version : Daddy DON'T BE NEEDIN' a golf cart NO MORE!!!

I'm looking to buy a golf cart. Anyone have any knowledge on the subject? I am certain I want a gas cart and I want to stay around $1500 (just for the cart, not accessories). I plan to lower it, throw some 12's on it and install a back flop seat. If it doesn't have head and tail lights, I want to add those too.
The plan here is to use this down at our camper at the lake. We have a spot there in a gated campground and they allow drunken driving on golf carts, so we need one! :drinking:
This is the look (generally) that I am shooting for!

Go Club Car or EZ-go. why not lift it?
daddy

This place has paved roads and nowhere to off-road. There's no need to lift it.
Also, I have a huge penis. :uhoh:
Oh, and that lowered ride looks pretty cool.
Are you just spouting off golf cart manufacturers you've heard of or do you have reasons behind those suggestions?

The only experience I've had with gas powered carts are Club Car. Seemed pretty reliable and they were easy to remove the governor. :naughty:

EX Go and Club Car are the only thing I see on the local golf course. I'd think that would be an indicator of quality. I used to see some HD carts, but it's been a long time since I saw one at a course.

My buddy next door has one just like in the picture it suffered big times in hurricane Ike but he rewired it and turned it into a cart for the kids to drive around our block he put seat belts on it and made it run only so fast so it could be safe. He also placed a yellow blinking light on the front and back so cars can see it I think he picked it up for a couple of hundred bucks. look on craigslist you might get lucky.

No mods this season. :( I spent more than I wanted to but I also don't have to touch a wrench to get this thing in proper form. It's getting a tune-up and a full body-off servicing this week to check all components.
It also comes with a 90-day warranty - Not bad for a used cart.
The really nice thing is that this cart has always been a people mover and was never an actual course cart that gets the shit beat out of it every day. I could have gotten a custom color replacement body for another $400 but I decided to pass, for now. :D

"Daddy DON'T BE NEEDIN' a golf cart NO MORE!!!"
http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Thinking/thinking-018.gif Ok, I know that a 2 negatives = a possitive.
http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Thinking/thinking-021.gif So, Don't need Nothing = Need Something.
http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Thinking/idea-013.gif I get it! So base on you statement you still need a Golf Cart.
OK, I'll continue looking for one.
