So I guess I bought a house yesterday

my lovely wife just informed me that the HOUSE she put an offer on was approved and we are scheduled to close in a few weeks... i didnt even know we were looking for a house:dunno:

the ONLY issue i have is it is in CALI and 3 houses from her mom and dads. BUT in defence of my wife, she has just been accepted to Chico State fpr her bach degree program and her mom is our sons babysitter. the program is 18 months long and well, with my work/deployment schedule and here G.I. Bill running out, it was a great decision.

the house was not badly priced and it is a 3 br 1 1/2 bath with a 1 car garage. perfect for her and my son to enjoy. then we can rent it out when we move away. hell i might just retire and live in the commie state. :loser:

Atleast this way you get the joys of getting a new house without having to actually move all your shit. You just get to come home and it's already at the new house. Everyone likes new things but moving is a PITA. :thumbs:

she was in with me for 3 years. made E-5 and then got prego. she got out 3 years ago. she is running out of money with the G.I. BILL cause she has used the hell out of it.

so we/she got the keys tuesday.. she has already pulled the popcorn off the ceiling and textured the walls. carpet is coming out and being replaced in a few rooms with better carpet, but mostly with linoleium (sp?) in the main traffic areas.. i am actually enjoying this cause it keeps her busy and takes her mind off me being gone and her school work. her mom and dad are helping too. my 4 yr old son has claimed his room (the master bedrrom of course) but he can have it until i get up there in oct for my 2 weeks.
