And does anyone even know what kind or brand they are?

daddy

Depends on how much you are paying for them.

They might look better than the 16's but if you could save up a little longer and get the set you really want, I'd suggest doing that.

I like star pattern wheels on GMT800s. How much and what kind of condition?

Guy is asking 900 OBO and they are 22's with 75-80% tread remaining. :dunno:
I think they'd look a lot better if they were chrome.

Personally... I think 20s are the max on a GMT800 without starting to look ghetto... Just my opinion and you did ask.

If it were me, I'd pass for that price on a wheel I didn't really like.

Meh, you're aren't really doing a whole lot for yourself by swapping 16's though.

Not feeling them. 22s are a bit much for the 800 IMO, and for that price I think you might hold out for something you like better.

Now you got me wanting to put my Centerlines on the wife's Tahoe :)

daddy

At least try to find these 17" star wheels if you are trying to find something cheaper than a full new set of chromies.

Do it, Hugger!!!

Add a GF leveling kit like I did (http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1326) and you'll be all set!

I feel ya Jim. I think 22's look good at stock height, but NO bigger than that. The overall diameter is only 32 inches. :dunno:20's look great if its lowered a bit.

Scotty, for nine bills, I think you can find better looking wheels. I understand what you're saying about getting tires & wheels for a relatively low price. But, keep looking and keep saving. You'll come across something you like at a good price.

I just found a set of these for $300 . The guy says they have 90% tread left and he's supposed to email me some close up pics of the tread. I'll need new tires soon (within the next 6 months or so) so I though about just getting these since I cant afford 20's right now. Thoughts ? :dunno:

See if you can get better pics. It could just be the angle and the lighting, but at least one of those looks mostly worn-out...

I already asked him for better pic, especially of the tread. He says he'll email me some when he gets a chance.

The only way I would consider it (since this doesn't seem to be the direction you really want to go in) would be to basically use-up the tires and then sell the wheels later, to chip-in on a new(er) set of tires & wheels.. But, the tread would have to be good on all of them. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose.. :dunno:
