I don't think the Dodgers will be IN the world series unless they buy tickets in the stands.

I reserve all predictions until I find out who is in the playoffs, and who plays who in what round.

Hey Gramps,

I DO give the Halos a lot of credit; they have endured so much this year, especially with the death of Aidenhart at the beginning of the season. Mike Sciosia is a great manager! However, I bleed blue and just love the Dodgers! My parents have Angels season tix so should the boys in blue reach the series against the Angels, I could finlly witness a WS game in person. Should be an interesting race though; lotta' teams making a push.

Hi Jeff,I've been an Angel fan for years and always watch as many games on TV as I can.I've even made the drive to Angel Stadium to see a game or two.If Dodger stadium wasn't such a pain in the ass to get in and out of I might go to a few more. We'll see who's still standing at the end, let's root for both L.A. teams and hope they can take care of the East of The Rockies emenies

BTW,do you know you were one of the winners of the monthly prize drawing for July? I don't remember you claiming your prize....check the thread

As an OC native, I grew up watching both teams, but the Dodgers were much more of a power-horse in the late 70's and throughout the 80's, and plus my dad's company had season tickets to the Dodgers, so we went to a lot more LA games. I was at Fernando's no-hitter in '91! Even though the Dodgers are my team, overall I'm just a "baseball" fan, and I admire many teams and individual players. Only organization I can't stand is ... ugh, I can't say it 'cause I don't want to hurt Dana's feelings.

Unlike my brother, who absolutely hates the Angels, I have a tremendous amount of respect for their team. They are a classy organization, and again, I like Mike Sciosa (ahem... ex-Dodger). Chone Figgins is amazing; Tori Hunter is solid; and what a great pick-up in Bobby Abreu - they got him fairly cheap too. He was making $12 Mil/yr in NY I believe; Angels picked him up for $5 Mil. Oh yeah, that Kendry Morales kid sure filled the shoes of Texeira nicely!!

Hehe... yeah, I was away from the site for a few months and just recently checked back in. Had a message from Jim stating that I had won. I'm so bummed, I never win anything, and the one contest I do win, I forget to claim my prize. Doh! My fault though.

So true! This generation of baseball is all about the money and the agents' greed in obtaining long-term contracts for their clients. It makes me sick that Jason Schmidt will have collected nearly $47 Mil by season's end and was absolutely useless! I'm sure Angels' fans feel the same way about Gary Mathews Jr.

Hehe... this is why I like golf; you don't make the cut, you don't win sh*t! You're paid on how you perform!!
